LOCATION
85 Grattan Street sits in the heart of Carlton. Walking distance from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, The CBD & Melbourne University, 3 of the cities biggest hub’s. Surrounded by cafés, restaurants and a dense local community that actually supports its businesses. You’re not hidden in a suburban strip mall hoping someone walks past. Carlton has identity, and so does the street.
FACILITIES
Everything you need to work at a professional level is already taken care of. Hot towel warmers, gowns, neck rolls and razors provided. Washing facilities on site. A full kitchen, front desk staff, heating, cooling, water and electricity all included. And beyond the practicalities, it's just a genuinely cool shop to be in. The kind of place you're proud to show up to every day.
HOURS
Tuesday to Friday 8 to 5:30, Saturday 8 to 2:30. Full trading days with real earning potential across the week. No awkward split shifts, no sharing your chair with someone else on a different time slot. When you're in, the chair is yours for the whole day. Most of us also work a 9 day fortnight... A proper day off built into the rhythm, not something you have to ask for.
Bookings & Systems
The shop is set up to run smoothly for everyone in it. Online booking handles the client side. Payments to the shop are straightforward, invoicing is clean and the whole thing is structured so you can just focus on working. No unnecessary admin, no chasing your tail. It just works. (just dont forget to mention if we run out of something)
Online Presence
You bring your clients, we make it easier for them to find and book you. The shop has Google Ads running, a website and an active Instagram presence, when someone in Carlton searches for a barber, Buddy’s comes up. That’s extra eyes on the door on top of whatever you’re already building yourself. Your Instagram, your clientele, your business. With an established local presence behind it.
